Elif Sanchez, a Turkish vocalist based in Madrid, has garnered acclaim for her exceptional voice and innovative fusion of diverse musical influences. Her musical style seamlessly weaves together elements from the Middle East, Spanish melodies, and the soulful essence of Latin and jazz.
Graduating with honors from Istanbul University State Conservatory as a classical oboe player, Elif expanded her musical horizons at Berklee College of Music. There, she honed her skills as a jazz oboist and vocalist, earning prestigious accolades such as the International Tour Scholarship, the esteemed Bill Pierce Award, and The Mediterranean Music Institute Award.
Elif has performed at renowned stages and international festivals, collaborating with notable artists such as David Liebman, Terence Blanchard, Antonio Serrano, Tigran Hamasyan, Jacob Collier, Alfredo Rodriquez, The Dream Theater, Nobuo Uematsu, Guinga, Aynur Dogan, and Pablo Ziegler.
In October 2021, she released her debut album, "Elif Sanchez," under the Pasión Turca label. This album serves as a musical autobiography, eloquently reflecting her profound connection to her cultural roots.
Her second album, "Mi Voz" (My Voice), unveiled in May 2022 and produced by the multi-Grammy winner Javier Limón, consists of 11 tracks. Notably, it includes a captivating duet with the renowned singer-songwriter Kenan Doğulu, debuting at the esteemed Cemil Topuzlu Open Air "Harbiye" venue in Turkey.
Presently, Elif Sanchez is actively engaged in crafting new music, delivering captivating live performances, and collaborating with artists on a global scale. Her recent projects include the album "Selami Şahin Şarkıları 1," celebrating the 75th year of Turkish music icon Selami Şahin, and "Viajeras," an album produced by Javier Limón.
